Dear Friends, Dear Colleagues,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the XXVIII World Congress of Neurology (WCN 2027), taking place in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa, from 23-25 October 2027. Hosted by the World Federation of Neurology (WFN) in partnership with the Neurological Association of South Africa (NASA), this landmark congress will bring together neurologists, neuroscientists, other healthcare professionals, and trainees from around the world to advance the practice and science of neurology.

WCN 2027 will serve as a global platform for learning, collaboration, and innovation, offering an outstanding opportunity to explore the latest developments across the neurological spectrum. Our dynamic Scientific Programme and Teaching Courses will showcase cutting-edge research, emerging technologies, new therapeutic approaches, and practical advances that are transforming patient care. From neurodegenerative diseases and stroke to neuroimmunology, epilepsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, global neurology, brain health, and much more, attendees will benefit from a rich and diverse educational experience through the spectrum of neurological disorders led by internationally renowned experts.

The congress will also foster meaningful dialogue and collaboration among colleagues from every region of the world. Through interactive sessions, workshops, poster and platform presentations, and networking events, WCN 2027 will create opportunities to exchange ideas, discover new perspectives, and build partnerships that will shape the future of neurological care and research. We are especially excited to once again host the celebrated Tournament of the Minds, bringing together some of the brightest minds in neurology in a spirit of friendly competition and shared learning.

As the World Congress of Neurology continues its journey across continents, Cape Town provides an inspiring setting for our global gathering. Known for its growing scientific and healthcare excellence, South Africa offers a unique opportunity to engage with the challenges and opportunities facing neurological care across Africa and beyond. Hosting WCN in Cape Town highlights our commitment to advancing neurology globally and strengthening connections between communities, regions, and healthcare systems.

The World Federation of Neurology remains dedicated to ensuring that WCN 2027 is both inclusive and accessible. Through educational initiatives and bursary programs, we will continue supporting the participation of young neurologists and colleagues from low- and middle-income countries, helping to strengthen our worldwide neurological community and promote the exchange of knowledge across borders.

Whether you are joining us as a clinician, researcher, educator, trainee, advocate, or industry partner, WCN 2027 promises an exceptional experience that combines scientific excellence, professional development, and cultural discovery. Together, we will explore new frontiers in neurology and work toward improving brain health and neurological care for people everywhere.
